How I use your details.

Who I am
This site is run by me, Darren Ware, a sole trader based in the UK. I decide what happens to your details. Contact me at coach@darrenware.com.
The free guide
When you ask for Run Stronger, Longer I collect your email address and, if you give it, your first name.
I use them to send you the link to the guide and, now and then, a note on training. You agree to that when you sign up. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also reply and ask me to stop.
I keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them.
The free course
When you join Finish Strong I collect your email address and, if you give it, your first name. I use them to send the seven course emails you asked for, one a day. Every one has a link to stop the rest.
I only email you after the course if you tick the box asking for it. You can unsubscribe from those at any time.
If you choose to tell me about your race (name, month, distance, age band, experience and your biggest challenge), it comes to me so I can see who the course is helping. I also keep it with your course progress, your saved tools (such as your fuel plan and gut-training settings) and saved actions, so the course follows you from phone to laptop. That record is stored with Supabase. One small cookie keeps you signed in to the course on each device.
Anything you note about symptoms, such as how your stomach felt on a long run, stays in your browser on that device. It isn't sent to me or stored with your course.
Your course record is deleted automatically 12 months after you join. Copies of the emails the course sent you, and my notes of your sign-up, are deleted by hand on the same timetable unless we go on to work together.
Call requests and coaching questionnaires
If you request a free call I collect your name, your email, the event and date you tell me, the page you sent it from and the time. If you fill in the optional full questionnaire I also collect your race date, weekly and longest runs, and anything you tell me about why you want coaching.
To stop automated abuse the site briefly counts requests per internet connection in memory. It doesn't store your IP address.
I use it to reply to you and decide together whether coaching fits. It arrives as an email to me. If we don't go on to work together, I delete it within 12 months.
Where an ad brought you here
If you arrive from an ad, the page notes the campaign details in the link (such as the source and campaign name). They are kept in your browser tab only and sent with a form if you submit one, so I can see which ads work. Close the tab and they're gone.
Measurement and cookies
The site loads Google's ads tag with every kind of consent set to "denied". In that state it sets no cookies. When someone signs up for the guide or requests a call, it sends Google a cookieless signal that a conversion happened, with nothing you typed.
If you allow cookies, Google may set its ads cookies, OpenAI's ChatGPT ads measurement may count a call request (no form details, only that one happened), and Microsoft Clarity may record clicks and scrolling to show how pages get used. Clarity never records what you type into the forms. Meta (Facebook and Instagram) may count the pages you view and a guide sign-up, so I can see which of my Facebook ads work. It gets nothing you typed. Google may also add you to a list of people who've read the guide, so my ads can show to you on YouTube and other Google sites. If you say no thanks, none of this happens.
You can change your choice any time: .
Who handles your details for me
Vercel hosts the site. Resend sends the emails and holds the guide mailing list. Supabase stores course progress. Google, OpenAI, Microsoft and Meta provide the measurement above. Some of these companies process data outside the UK, under the safeguards UK law requires. I don't sell your details or share them with anyone else.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email coach@darrenware.com and I'll reply within a month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
